The overall objective of this Work Package is to organize and integrate dissemination and exploitation activities. The latter will optimize the delivery and impact of the Integrated Research Programme to the European industry in order to maximize the impact of the programme on the realization of the EU’s 2020 Climate and Energy objectives. A large number of dissemination activities will be performed to raise awareness of the programme within the various target groups, and in particular the European wind industry. The main actors in the target group are wind turbine and component manufacturers, wind farm developers, power utilities, standardization committees, certification bodies and consultants. The tasks in this WP are divided between tasks to extend dissemination activities to create further synergies from the IRP, and tasks to consolidate ongoing integrative transfer of knowledge activities in the EERA Wind context.
One key activity will be to plan and execute the annual IRPWind/EERA JP Wind Conference. This yearly event in September will be used to inform fellow JP Wind members on progress in both European and national projects. Industry is invited as well as national programmes, to assure maximum impact, tighten the bonds and ensure alignment of the R&D activities within the wind sector.
Other important activities are the organization of several dedicated dissemination for industry events, the bi-annual newsletters and the initiation of a collaborating network of technology transfer Experts.
