Workshop Business models for ancillary service provision
June 22.-23. 2016, VTT, Helsinki
Announcement + Call for Proposals
Purpose
In December 2014 the Sub-Program Grid Integration of EERA JP Wind Energy organized the workshop “Ancillary Services and System Stability”. The workshops focus was on technical issues. The participants presented and discussed latest developments of frequency and voltage support by WPP as well as the requirements on system stability support by RES including new ideas for system services and dedicated grid support.
In the follow-up-event of this workshop we want to address the following question(s): We have developed and proofed the technology and the procedures of using RES for ancillary services. How can we integrate those into the existing power markets? Which business models are used for ancillary services? Can these be adopted to wind energy? What are the bottlenecks and challenges?
These questions illustrate the wide range of topics that need to be addressed. We want to initiate a start a discussion about which market concepts are being examined for different power structures in Europe? What is the state of the art? Can those be adapted to different market conditions?
Target group
The workshop is open for EERA JP Wind Partners.
